Precautions for Installing Carbon Monoxide Alarm

When installing a carbon monoxide alarm, you need to pay attention to the following aspects:

  1. Find out the possible leakage points of the device to be monitored, analyze their leakage pressure, direction and other factors, and draw a distribution map of the probe position, which is divided into three levels, I, II, and III according to the severity of the leakage.

  2. According to specific factors such as the airflow direction and wind direction at the location, determine the direction of the toxic gas leakage when a large amount of leakage occurs.

  3. According to the density of the leaking gas (greater than or less than the air), combined with the air flow trend, it is integrated into a leaking three-dimensional flow trend graph, and an initial setting plan is made at the downstream position of its flow.

  4. Investigate whether the leak state of the leak point is a slight leak or a spray pattern. If it is a slight leak, the location of the set point should be closer to the leak point. If it is a spray-like leak, stay slightly away from the leak point. Based on these conditions, the final point setting plan was drawn up. In this way, the quantity and variety that need to be purchased can be estimated.

  5. For places where there is a large toxic gas leakage, a detection point should be set every 10-20m apart according to relevant regulations. For small and non-continuously operating pump rooms that are not on duty, attention should be paid to the possibility of toxic gas leakage. Generally, a detector should be installed at the lower air outlet.

  6. For the open toxic gas diffusion and escape environment, if the lack of good ventilation conditions, it is easy to make the combustible gas content in the air of a certain part approach or reach the lower explosive limit concentration. These are safety monitoring points that cannot be ignored. According to the analysis results of on-site accidents, more than half of them were caused by incorrect installation and calibration. Therefore, it is necessary to introduce correct installation and calibration precautions to reduce failures

The main features of carbon monoxide gas alarm: imported sensor, high precision, accurate measurement, stable performance, probe explosion-proof structure design, suitable for various dangerous places such as factories, convenient to connect with various DCS, PLC and other systems, 4-20mA /RS485 multiple signal interface forms.
